Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) General Scholarship Scheme 2021-22

for Jordanian Nationals.

The Embassy of India, Amman is pleased to announce Indian Council for Cultural Relations(ICCR), New Delhi, scholarships for 05 (five) meritorious applicants for either undergraduate (Bachelors degree), Masters Degree or a Doctoral programme in universities and educational institutions in India under ICCR’s General Scholarship Scheme (GSS) for the academic year 2021-22. The scholarships include enrollment and course fees, besides a fixed amount of living expenses. The scholarships are granted for the full duration of the course.

  1. The selected candidate(s) will be provided a scholarship package to cover tuition/ college fees and a part of the cost of boarding & lodging in India for the duration of studies/research work in a recognized Indian University or higher educational institution. The cost of medical insurances policy & air travel from Jordan to India is to be borne by the selected applicant.
  1. Interested candidates, with sound knowledge of English, may apply for either undergraduate (Bachelors degree), Master Degree or a Doctoral programme in any field of study except medical courses and studies related to medicine. Please see general guidelines attached and the admissions Portal for more details.
  1. Interested candidates from Jordan may visit the ICCR’s A2A (Admissions to Alumni)

Scholarship Portal http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in for registration, eligibility criteria and detailed information on various fields of study/research offered by the higher educational institutions in India.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

(please refer to ICCR Scholarships Portal for details)

The application procedure is now fully online and applicants are advised to follow the following guidelines:-

Applicants are requested to create an account and log onto “Admissions to Alumni” (A2A), the Scholarship Portal developed by ICCR at http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in . This portal contains all the relevant information for the applicants including details of all State Universities, Central Universities and Institutes, colleges affiliated with them, courses available, availability of hostels, application guidelines, eligibility criteria and other relevant information for helping the applicants in decision-making while applying for the academic courses of their preference.

Please carefully note the following:-

Applications should be submitted by 30th April 2021 (Friday) through the online application mechanism.

Applications should be complete in every detail. Kindly thoroughly read the guidelines on the portal.

To ascertain English Proficiency, a 500 words essay in English would be introduced. Besides participant can submit his TOFEL/IELTS etc. Standardized Test scores, if available.

Applicants should clearly mention the course to which they are seeking admission while mentioning choices.

Applicants are advised to go through the courses offered by the Universities carefully before finally submitting the application form.

List of Universities where ICCR students are currently studying is available at ICCR Website www.iccr.gov.in and the admissions portal also.

ICCR does not award scholarships for MBBS/BDS courses or Casual Research/Diplomas/Short-term courses.

Applicant must produce a medical fitness certificate from a recognized hospital in the prescribed format available with the online application form.

Applicants applying for M.Phil/Doctoral/Post-Doctoral courses should submit a synopsis along with the application.

Applicants wishing to pursue performing arts courses should upload Video/Audio/YouTube link . An applicant should have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at Higher Secondary level

to be eligible for admission to science/engineering courses

Submission of application form does not guarantee admission.

Indian universities/educational institutions are autonomous and independent bodies and have their own eligibility criteria on the basis of which they confirm admissions.

Candidates are expected to stay in the University/College hostel and not in private accommodation.
